If you're a Christian hipster who reads Donald Miller or anyone who has the Internet and hasn't been living under a rock, you've probably heard of Bob Goff. He's kind of blowing my mind/overwhelming me. Just do yourself a favor and Google him. He's amazing. And he's living the way I want to live.
It's nice to have amazing, incredible people to strive to be like. It's hard not to feel spiritually shrimpy in the shadow of great men like him, but I'm thankful for the example, the invitation to say come, live like this. I want to quit something every Thursday (he does that). I want to live on the edge of a river and share the Gospel with kayakers by making them dinner. I want to believe in something hard, like ending slavery or homelessness, for more than a few days at a time. I want to love God passionately, not in spurts, but in a waterfall for the rest of my life, that His love just kinda accidentally dumps on every person I ever interact with!
God, give me more than enough of your love for the world around me, and give me the strength, dignity and humility to share it well.
